Genuine BEAM EZ Change quick release powerhead cord for the BEAM EZ Change quick release system. The pronged end rests in the BEAM EZ Change Neck Assembly, while the wires are connected internally in the powerhead.
Tools Required:
- Philips #2 Screwdriver
- Wire Cutters
- Wire Strippers
- Power Cord Strain Relief Clamp
- Use Power Cord Strain Relief tool and loosen the wire grommet from the powerhead base
- Remove the two Phillips #2 screws from the bottom (underside) of the powerhead base
- Remove the hood
- Remove the cardboard insulator
- Take the two wire groupings and remove the wire cap using the wire cutters or unscrew if threaded
- Remove the old cord, making sure to remove the old grommet and set aside
- Strip wire ends from the motor and light bulb and set aside
- Use the old grommet and place it over the white mark on the new cord, or approximately where the old wire was pinched
- Use the Power Cord Strain Relief Tool and secure the cord with grommet back into the base
- Connect the wires (two each of cord, motor and bulb) and cap with a blue wire nut
- Place cardboard insulator back into place
- Put the hood back into place
- Reinstall two long #2 Phillips #2 screws to secure hood in place
- Vacuum your home to ensure that your repair was a success
