Changing filter bag on Old Unit Beam #178 Friday, May 30, 2025 Reviewer: Kathleen R. McAuliffe from South Glastonbury, CT United States   bag arrived promptly,, it was never changed since I bought 5 yrs ago, I was able to empty out the canister having a hard time removing the old cloth bag unable to find any type of tab.... called customer service. They were more than accommodating. Talked me through everything still not sure I can do this. They had me send photos of my unit to help in the process. ... to remove the old bag,  or just return the new bag for a refund if it still proves too difficult for me , very professional, friendly, accommodating, and helpful!!! I can't seem to do this on my own. I may have a friend come over and try for me.- but their explanations were perfect Thank you!  I wish I had the previous owners walk me through this process.... An excellent replacement. Monday, May 19, 2025 Reviewer: Doug Borgert from Beavercreek, OH United States   I purchased this vacuum filter bag as part of my preventive maintenance on my 23+ year old Beam central vac.  I happy the store warned me in the advertisement for this product that the replacement bag is now shorter in length than the original one. BEAM 11" Central Vacuum Filter Bag 110385. Tuesday, April 1, 2025 Reviewer: Scott from Farmington, MN   Manufacturer defect.  Attempting to install the filter and the retaining ring is too big in diameter for a Beam 199f.  I decided to open up the stitching and discovered the manufacturer did not align the markings for the correct size.  I drilled out the rivets, aligned the markings, drilled the steel band to the correct position, and refastened all back together.  What should have been a 2 minute installation turned out to be a one hour repair. Good fit, great product, quick shipping Friday, October 4, 2024 Reviewer: Cannon from North Carolina   These central vac filter bags are not fun to work with, but this one went in without too much fuss. It came quickly and it seems to work really well. The old bag had gotten funky, so this was a really nice upgrade. Our garage used to stink whenever we'd use the central vac, now it's fine and we're using out vac again. Was this review helpful to you?
